| When snow piles up, fire hydrants can become buried and difficult for firefighters to access during an emergency. Just a few minutes of delay can make a big difference when every second counts.
Last night members set out and reviewed the first due of the Township and dug out 25 hydrants that were still snow buried from last weekends storm!
You can help us by “adopting” a hydrant near your home or business:
✅ Clear snow and ice after each snowfall ✅ Keep a 3 foot wide path from the street to the hydrant ✅ Maintain at least 3 feet of space around it ✅ Make sure it stays visible above snowbanks
Please do not attempt to open or operate the hydrant—just keep it clear and accessible. A small effort can help protect your neighborhood and support emergency response to your home and to your commercial property. |
