Join the Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company!

Thank you for considering becoming a part of the Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company (SVFC). We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and interests to join our community-driven organization. Whether you're passionate about firefighting or simply want to contribute to the community in other ways, there's a membership option for you.

Active Membership:

Active membership is open to individuals 18 years and older who are eager to respond to emergency calls and actively participate in the operations of SVFC. There are diverse roles within active membership, including:

• Structural Firefighting: Obtain Firefighter 1 certification covering various aspects such as Fire Ground Support, Exterior and Interior Firefighting, alongside National certification tests, First Aid/CPR, and Hazmat Operations.
• Water Rescue: Become certified in Water Rescue Emergency Responder.
• Fire Police: Earn certification in Fire Police and get sworn in by the Township.
• Administrative: Contribute to the administrative tasks vital for the smooth functioning of the company.

Live-In Membership:

Junior Membership:

Young individuals aged 15 to 18 can join as Junior Members. You'll have the chance to participate in training sessions, learn from experienced members, and work towards certifications in your area of interest.

Social Membership:

If you're enthusiastic about supporting community events, fundraisers, and activities, consider becoming a Social Member. Your involvement is invaluable in strengthening our bonds within the community.
