Yesterday shortly after 4:10 PM, Upper Merion Township Fire & EMS along with Quint 54 of the Bridgeport Fire Department were dispatched to a dwelling fire on the 200 Blk of Tyler Rd. In the Henderson Park section of our local. DC56-3 (Recupido) arrived to find a smoke condition on the first floor. Squirt 56 arrived shortly after and stretched an attack line to the basement. Chief 56 (Johnson) arrived and assumed command. Squad 56 (Upper Merion Township Professional Firefighters Association) arrived securing a water supply to SQ56 and assisted first in crews. Fire was found in the ceiling of the basement and was quickly extinguished. Engine 56-1 (King of Prussia Vol. Fire Co.) and Quint 54 also assisted with opening up inside the basement checking for extension. Rescue 56-3 and Traffic 56 also responded from Swedesburg and assisted on scene. Units were clear at 5:30 PM. Job well done by all on a quick stop today!
