Upper Merion Township Fire & EMS units were dispatched to Abrams Yard around 3:30 PM today for a train car on fire. Squirt 56 and Traffic 56 were special called at 4:00 PM to help fully extinguish the fire. The fire was deep seated within trash inside the car. Squirt 56 set up and flowed water for approximately half an hour to fill the car and fully extinguish the fire. Another crew was in station and handled three additional calls in the township while units operated at the train car fire.
