To respond quickly and effectively to any and all emergencies and requests for assistance. The volunteer men and women of the Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company will always endeavor to perform their duty of protecting the lives and property of the community with pride and honor."

Annual Fire Prevention Expo

One of our own was honored yesterday by the King of Prussia Rotary Club as their 2026 Firefighter of the Year!
Firefighter Melissa Guziewicz has served the Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company since 1997 and is beginning her 30th year of service. For much of that time, she has served as the company treasurer while also contributing in other positions to the Upper Merion Township Fire & EMS Department.

The New Car 56-3

On July 2nd of this year the new Car 56-3 was placed in service. The new vehicle is a 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe SSV. The command vehicle is outfitted with sound off signal lighting, a command box, 5 gas meter, thermal imaging camera, and miscellaneous hand tools. Early Sunday May 24th, shortly after Midnight, Rescue 56-3 and Squad 56 responded to assist Berwyn Fire Company with a vehicle rescue on 422. Upon Rescue 56-3’s arrival, Berwyn’s Squad 2 and Squad 56 were already at work stabilizing an overturned vehicle with one confined. Members Recognized for Life Saving Efforts

At this past Thursdays Township Board of Directors Meeting, members of the Upper Merion Public Safety Department were recognized for their life saving efforts over the past year. Five members of Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company were recognized for their efforts on November 7th , 2025.
